Really nice mix...good blending of low end especially...Maybe could use just a bit of variety in the hi end or a little more lush in hi end. It sounds like some hi end has reverb other does not (a little reverb i mean, not alot like the snare) Anyhow, just keep making music because this is good--oh, I'd put some reverb on the reverse cymbals, too, it makes a nice effect...or just mix them a bit. Great work, though.

Good start. Keep working on mixing and dynamics...basically just keep working at it. I liked the melody and the volume increase in the beginning. in the middle, I'd make the music climax, then add a break down, then finish with the beginning. It ends kind of abruptly. Godd start, though.

I could incorporate those ideas into a reboot, if I ever get around to it. Thanks for the feedback, bro.

This is good orchestrating IMO..nice instrumentation and chord changes. Overall really cool. And all done in Reason 6! GJ

I liked the sonic balance of these instruments, alot. The timing seems just a little off, though. If it's midi it's an easy fix--if it's audio maybe try to bring them closer together. Good slides, and feel to it though. Fun stuff!

Stavier responds:

Yeah, itz meant to b a lil offbeat but, but it is only the loop/wip and yea I made it by midi so ill b able to fix it. Thanx for da review!!!

Pretty cool--I'd bring the drums way up front more though--try bussing/ layering compression/ equing/ etc...whatever to bring them up closer. Yeah cool stereo stuff with the vocals--I'd add a little reverb to them though, and mix them in better. Cool guitar work. Good energy.

InCaseOfFireNEA responds:

@RobSoundTrack made the music I laid down the vocals . I used Audacity , so did the best with the limitations placed upon it. But thanks! Much appreciated!

This is good songwriting IMO...I would say 1-don't be afraid of rocking out (let your inner rocking out shine!) 2-work on the mixing. I'd bus/ compress/ eq the drums in layers alot--keep doing this till you get them up front and sounding full--I use at least 3 tracks for my kick alone. They've got to rock in epic orchestral. Oh, and always mix the effect tracks of the drums with one plain, clean track in each area (this is basically what the concept behind NY or Parallel compression is).
Good ideas and mood, though, keep it up!

HaydenDavenport responds:

I appreciate the advice! I think the big issue here is that I actually used a drum sample set, so it's all just one track. Unfortunately, my computer doesn't have enough ram to run several instances of Battery in order to individually mess with each instrument. Perhaps I can still apply some of that though! Thanks! :D

Yeah, I like it. Very musical, and great groove. On commenting with the vocals, I would encourage you to just keep working at it--it's basically there. The effects don't bother me. You could always use a pitch correcter, but I would say just keep re recording it--try singing the whole song on different vowels sounds only to zero in on the pitch, then sing it with all the words and see if that brought it closer in. Great groove!

LemonCrush responds:

Hey thanks dude. Yeah, I have unreleased stuff from when I first started singing and it's unlistenable.

This is actually an improvement lol

Yeah, great music. I like the mixing of the harmonies in the voices. Nice balance and mix of clean sounds with the 8 bit stuff, too. Some of the vocals kind of remind me of Radio Head/ The Myriad or something. Original, too, so that is fun. "Cosmic Mesastophaleez..." lol. I like this alot!

Hey, nice...lots of cool elements...I love all the modulations and changes in moods, too. Very cool.

Yeah, love it! Great energy and vocoding. Love the timing and drum samples in the breakdown as well. Cool cool :)
